Sexual devices or just for the rhythm?

Back in 2002 there was the Rez Trance Vibrator, a PS2 device that vibrates in rhythm with the game. Not long after it’s release one of the Game Girl Advance writers, Jane, stuck it down here pants and wrote about her experience on the site. This whole thing buzzed around the Internet for weeks and the developer of the game rushed to the media to state “The Trance Vibrator was not intended to be sexual..”.

I can hardly imagine that the sexual usage of the device wasn’t something they thought about themselves upfront. If people can put vibrating things in their pants they will, men even put their penis in vacuum cleaners, and the idea of a vibrator to clean your skin has always been a myth, right? To back up their story of a non-sexual device to use with their Rez games, they just finished Rez HD. This time others can share the fun, you can enable trance vibrator support trough an additional Xbox controller for three devices at the same time. I’m quite sure the developers of Rez HD will rush to the media again to state this is not their intentional usage of the game…

The only real sexual device ( that I know of ) to be used with computer games is the “Fleshlight ”. A mixture of a vacuum cleaner and a vibrator. A few games are delivered in the Fleshlight package. Other devices that are worth mentioning here are those “Internet enabled adult Toys”. These are more like normal sex toys, but they are controlled by others trough the Internet.

It’s easy to make fun of these things, and the idea of someone using the Fleshlight, in front of his computer, does bring hilarious images ( in my already perverted ) brain. But the concept of making a sex game that includes some sort of real life stimulation is intriguing.
